Overview

Nestled inside the buzzing Vancouver Mall food court, Adobo Shack brings a vibrant slice of Hawaiian-inspired Filipino cuisine to the Pacific Northwest. This spot is a refreshing blend of authentic flavors and casual dining, making it perfect for families, food enthusiasts, and anyone craving comforting yet adventurous dishes.

The menu offers an enticing array of traditional Filipino staples infused with Hawaiian touches, creating a unique culinary crossover. Signature dishes like the rich, tender Adobo showcase slow-cooked perfection, marrying savory, tangy notes with melt-in-your-mouth meat. For those seeking something heartier, the smoky and succulent Huli Huli Chicken stands out with its alluring glaze and tender bite, paired brilliantly with a pineapple-speckled mac salad that adds a refreshing balance.

Noodles and soups hold a special place here as well. The Tinolang Manok is a fragrant broth where juicy chicken mingles effortlessly with green papaya and a subtle ginger note, inviting you into a warm, homestyle experience. Meanwhile, the various noodle dishes, from the garlicky Pancit Malabon to the delicately sauced Palabok, deliver deep layers of flavor while preserving the authenticity Filipino cuisine is celebrated for.

Adobo Shack’s turo-turo dining style encourages guests to explore diverse offerings with generous portions, fostering a communal and lively atmosphere. Accessible and conveniently located, the food court setup allows easy seating options, including wheelchair accommodations, ensuring inclusivity for all visitors.

What truly elevates the experience is the genuine warmth from the team, especially Chef Love Krina, whose personal touch and hospitality make every meal feel like dining in a loved one's home. This connection resonates deeply with patrons, who praise not only the flavorful dishes but also the attentive and friendly service that defines the shack’s spirit.

Whether you’re a longtime devotee of Filipino cuisine or a newcomer intrigued by its rich taste profiles, Adobo Shack offers a satisfying journey through familiar favorites and flavorful surprises. I LOVE adobo, but I hadn't had it in years. It's randomly kind of hard to find filipino restaurants in abundance. Anyway, my friend Henrik showed me this video of Cameron Diaz doing a bad filipino accent and saying "adobo" and it immediately woke up my adobo desires again. We visited Adobo Shack and were greeted by the owner, Love Krina. She is incredibly kind and puts a lot of care into her business and customers. We got many different menu items and they were all amazing. I ordered the Beef Adobo two more times in the following couple weeks. Definitely go here.

I’d give it a 4.5 star for the huli huli dish. Pretty good Hawaiian meal with tender, flavorful chicken that had a nice smoky glaze. The portions were good, and the Mac salad (had some pineapple bits) complemented the main dish well. It had a bit of Filipino influence. I'd go back for another plate.

The most authentic Filipino food I’ve had in a while. Pretty much tried every Filipino food on their menu and they’re all 10/10! The chef and the staff are all friendly and nice! Their extra menu this weekend was really good. I love the tinola, definitely the pansit is like so authentic. I don’t eat dinuguan but it was so good. The menudo is so good too. Everything is just delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked!
